Teeing Off For A Good Cause: UNIFY VSN At A Charity Golf Day
05 Jul 2024Here at UNIFY VSN, we always strive to do our bit for charity and raise awareness for causes we believe in, which is why we always offer our assistance when and where we can. We were notified about an upcoming Charity Golf Day taking part at Brocket Hall Estate in Welwyn Garden City, hosted by The President’s Sporting Club in support of The Essex Disabled Sports Foundation, so of course we accepted the invitation to take part!
What Happened During The Charity Golf Day?
Taking place at Brocket Hall Estate, the charity event involved meeting in the morning for a delicious breakfast, followed by playing 18 holes of golf accompanied by some famous faces on one of the estate’s amazing courses made up of pristine greens and beautiful water hazards.
Following the round, a fantastic 3-course dinner was provided, with entertainment, a raffle, and an auction taking place afterwards.
A Little About The Cause:
The Essex Disabled Sports Foundation is a charity which is committed to helping and inspiring children with special needs by providing them with the equipment, facilities and assistance they need to take part in the sports they desire.
Throughout their time, the charity has raised over £2.5 Million, which has been donated to numerous schools, sporting venues and organisations to make sure that as many children as possible who have special needs can get access to the sporting facilities and opportunities they deserve!
Taking part in sport is extremely important for children as it teaches them numerous skills, works towards physical development and can boost self-confidence, therefore raising money and awareness to enable all children to take part in any sport is vital.
How Did UNIFY VSN Provide Assistance?
Here at UNIFY VSN, we are all very passionate about sport, whether it be Golf, Football or Formula 1. This is why we have taken part in several charity sporting days and events for almost 10 years, including golf days and boxing events. Therefore, if we had another chance to raise money and awareness for a great cause, whilst participating in sport, we couldn’t turn it down!
Not only did a few members of UNIFY donate money to take part in the wonderful event, but we also installed a 2.5m x 1.5m LED Wall which stood on the main stage and was used during the evening ceremony to assist in the auction and add some wow factor to light up the evening.
